1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Hyun Seo, an individual developer publishing under the name 556 Games (“we”, “us”), who makes and runs Frontline Zero (“the game”) at frontlinezero.com. By playing the game or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
2. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to the use of your data online (up to 16 in some EU countries). If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms for you. You may not use the game if the law forbids you from doing so.
3. Your account
- Online play requires an account. You sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email address.
- One account per person. Don't share, sell or transfer your account, and don't use someone else's.
- Keep access to your email and Google account secure: anyone who controls them can sign in as you. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@556games.com if you think it has been misused.
- Your account's email address can't be changed. You can link a second sign-in method in Options → Profile as a backup.
- You can delete your account at any time in Options → Profile. Deletion is permanent.
4. Game names, room names and chat
Your game name, room names and chat messages must not:
- be offensive, obscene, hateful or harassing, or attack anyone because of their nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits;
- threaten violence, glorify atrocities or war crimes, or encourage harm to anyone;
- impersonate another player, a real person, us, or any organization;
- contain anyone's personal information, including your own real name, address or phone number;
- advertise, spam, or link to cheats, scams or malware.
Frontline Zero is set in a real, ongoing war that has cost many lives. Play either side, and respect the people on both.
We may change a game name or room name that breaks these rules. You keep any rights you have in what you write, and you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, display and use it as needed to run, record and replay the game.
5. Fair play
You must not:
- use cheats, bots, automation, modified game files or any tool that gives an unfair advantage, including seeing what the fog of war hides;
- exploit bugs to gain an advantage, or keep exploiting one after you've found it (please report it to us instead);
- manipulate results or statistics, for example by arranging games with a friend or a second account;
- deliberately disconnect, stall or sabotage games, or grief your teammates;
- interfere with the game's servers or other players' connections, overload them, or try to access accounts, data or systems you aren't allowed to;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the game or its services, except as the law allows.
6. Recording and game data
Every online game is recorded, including all orders given and the chat, so that it can be replayed and kept in players' archives, and so we can investigate cheating and abuse. Games you play in can be watched by the other players in them. We may analyze game data and share it in de-identified form, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Enforcement
If you break these terms, we may, at our discretion and with or without notice: remove or change content, mute you, reset statistics, end a game, or suspend or delete your account. Serious or repeated violations may lead to a permanent ban. If you think we made a mistake, contact us.
8. Free play, paid plans, and a game still in development
- Skirmish against the AI and online multiplayer are free, with no daily limit. If we ever bring in a limit, we'll say so in the game and on the website first.
- Supporter is a one-time purchase: the Supporter badge next to your name and the members' channel on our Discord server. It's $10, or $5 until February 1, 2027. It gives no advantage in games, and the game stays playable without it. Supporters have unlimited online games for as long as we run online play, whatever limits might come later. Prices include sales tax or VAT where it applies.
- The monthly plan ($3 a month) is no longer sold. A monthly plan bought earlier keeps renewing until you cancel it.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Stripe, through Link, its checkout. Stripe is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Stripe takes the payment and provides customer service for orders and refunds through Link; Link's terms apply to the purchase.
- You can cancel a monthly plan any time in Options → Profile or in your Link account (app.link.com); it stops renewing and lasts to the end of the month you paid for. Any payment can be refunded within 14 days, as the Refund Policy sets out.
- Paid plans are for the account that bought them and can't be transferred or exchanged for money. Accounts closed for breaking these terms (section 7) lose their plan without a refund, except where the law says otherwise.
- It is under active development. Features, maps, units and balance will change; we may reset statistics, archives or replays; and old replays may stop playing back after updates.
- We may change, suspend or stop the game, or any part of it, at any time. If we shut the game down permanently, we'll try to give notice on the website first.
9. Ownership
The game, including its software, art, sound, maps, text and the name Frontline Zero, belongs to us or to the people who license it to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to play it for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms.
Streaming and videos are encouraged. You may stream, record and post videos and screenshots of the game, including on monetized channels, without asking us. Please don't suggest that you are us or that we endorse you, and don't share other players' chat or names in a way that harasses them.
Some parts of the game, such as fonts and sound effects, are third-party materials used under their own licenses.
10. Real-world setting
Frontline Zero depicts real equipment, places and battles of the Russia–Ukraine war in a fictional, simplified form. Every person in the game is fictional. The game is entertainment, not a historical record, and does not represent or endorse any government, armed force or organization.
11. Disclaimers
THE GAME IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't promise that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that your data, statistics or replays will be preserved, or that other players will follow these terms.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE GAME OR FROM OTHER PLAYERS' CONDUCT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE GAME IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR IT IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
Some places don't allow these exclusions or limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
13. Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law while using the game and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose consumer laws give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, you keep that right.
Before going to court, please contact us first: most problems can be solved by email.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll tell you in the game or by email before it takes effect. If you keep playing after it takes effect, you accept the new terms; if you don't accept them, you can delete your account.
16. General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the game. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we don't give up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to someone who takes over the game.
